10-04-2013 Double over Fafane
While it was seen that the earlier away win against Fafane (strangely by the same scoreline) was purely due to luck, the home win against Fafane this week was more of a tactical change that allowed Edbe FC to claim a double over Fafane this season.
Derby matches between Edbe FC and Fafane are rarely dull, with only a few kilometers separating the stadiums, this match was no different.
Fafane were happy to defend deep and hit on the counter but their finishing was appalling. 3 clear chances were wasted in front of goal when incisive diagonal balls bypassed the midfield reaching the front players who failed to score.
Edbe FC were down due to a header from a corner kick in the 10th minute. However, they rallied and pelted their opponent's goal but none ended up in the back of the net.
A change in the 60th minute which brought Abdul Samad changed the game. Put into a false-nine position, he gave himself space to score for the equaliser while setting up Rodal for the winner.
