AS Uijeongbu 07 completed their first season in the K-League with a much stronger showing than expected. We knew things were going to be hard, but aimed for a sixth place finish and the hope of a play-off qualifier come the end of the season.
However, the club's success went far beyond our grandest expectations -- spending most of the season in fourth place before pipping Olympic Park United to third on the final day of fixtures.
The key to our success was a strong home showing, winning every single one of our matches at Waegari Park. Not even S.Arsenal (this season's league & cup winners) or Jinzerg (last season's league & cup winners) managed to earn a point in our stadium.
Season 40 will be an even stronger test of our abilities though, as three strong sides* have promoted into the K-League and will be trying to leave their mark on the competition. Let's hope for a repeat performance from Au7!
