22-04-2013 Monkeys Take Title!
Yesterday the Monkeys claimed their second successive title after a win over then second placed VMB. The manager chimped 'we're obviously glad to take the honours however a couple of unexpected results this season leave us sitting behind the auto-promotion line again. Taking last season into account, a win next week won't get us over it so a playoff seems likely.'
Asked about the future of the squad, the manager added 'The trainees are coming along nicely, as is the bank balance. Depending on the strength of other teams next season we may offload a couple of the high earners to give the homegrown lads a chance to hold their own.'
Once again the future appears bright for the Monkeys and with the impending arrival of 'sister' team 'Dragon Monkeys' the Magic Monkeys are looking to expand their empire into China and beyond. Global dominance surely awaits.
