The 2-1 (422476741) win over CheeseKings was Oakes' 31st competitive appearance, and the rating is tied for the second-highest rating ever for a CGK player, behind Gaetan Boumard's (303710088) eight stars. Oakes already has 8 goals in his career.

CGK defeated Dalek FC this week 2-1 (1503417) to advance to the XLVII Cup Championship (793722). CGK scored early thanks to the head of wingback Henry Browne, and looked comfortably ahead until Dalek scored one from the penalty spot in the 71', just seconds after CGK went to a more defensive lineup. Dalek's joy was to be short-lived, as an 83' winner from the experienced Nazario Peralta led to jubilation in the opposite end of the stands.

The XLVII Cup is open to all teams that started Hattrick during season 47. Thirty-six teams played in the group stages.

CGK today announced that they have fired their coach, Florenty Kaszubowski (53887831), after series of important, disappointing matches where CGK failed to score, including a tie in the league match at Leo Racicot (392034845) and a tournament loss to FC Rubik (840690). CGK was shut out in both games, and the board determined that a fresh face was necessary.

CGK unveiled Árpád Görbicz (139762465) as the new leader on the pitch. The Slovakian formerly managed StrikeTeam2011 (1733044). Görbicz promoted the Italians two levels in three seasons, and will look to make CGK competitive in V.120 in the coming seasons.

"We wish Florenty the best, and will always remember him for his 10-0 qualifer victory to bring the club to division five," said a club spokesman.

CGK today rebounded from last week and qualified for the round of 16 in the XLVII Cup by beating Mustache Cash Stash from Australia, 4-1 (745263). After taking a 2-0 lead early in the first half, CGK's Mihai Mihut (327861121) received a red card in the 38th minute, throwing the match into doubt, but MCS was kept from threatening the goal until the 89th minute.

The XLVII Cup involves only teams that were started in Season 47. CGK takes on FC Rubik (225801) next week in the semifinals of the Gamma Division of the tournament (290494).
