The Strategists manager has suddenly taken a long weekend. Rumors are he's visiting the countryside for some well earned time off from work after finalizing a huge project there which took almost half a year.

He is expected to return around Tuesday evening, perhaps logging in once to settle a friendly still. Any mails will be answered on his return.

Today, a visit to Singapore was scheduled for the team.

Unfortunately, the manager forgot to fly along with the team and therefore no team was set in time to play the game. Precious training was lost this week and the manager is feeling very bad about this.

Sources say that the manager is not reachable for further comments.

As per tomorrow, Strategist will be on vacation for two weeks.

Forums will (largely) remain unread, HT-mails can suffer delays of up to 4 days for being read and answered, and all other things will likely suffer delays as well.

As the Christmas and new year holidays are coming up, the activity of Strategist will be very limited:

15-17 December: No internet.
22 December - 06 January: Vacation, and therefore very little internet time.

Replies to mails will likely suffer delays.

For U20 Ireland this means that replies will be handled twice/week.
For the flags, lotteries will all be handled in the middle of the week.


The club team will hopefully not suffer too much during their race for the title in IV.28 this season.

Due to internet issues at home, Strategist will be managing the team only for limited periods of time until further notice.

This unfortunately also lowers any things done for U20 and NT's that he is helping out.

We hope everything gets settled soon so it all can return to normal.

Will work on U20 / NT stuff as from tomorrow again...

It was always meant to happen some day, but today, October 5th 2012, Jim Shereswood already made his debut halfway into the Canadian NT game against Ireland.

NT Canada Coach Kicker78 gave Jim the chance to show his skills in the second half of the game. When he came on, the game was at a 1-1 draw while in the end Canada lost 4-1, so it seems his contribution was not helping all that much unfortunately.

Jim will keep training now to make sure he can appear on the NT team again one day. For now his thoughts are back at The Strategists again where he is looking forward to a tough season in IV.28.

Nog 1 wedstrijd en dan is bekend wie zich kampioen mag noemen van IV.28.

Het gaat tussen SIM United en The Strategists, in een direct gevecht mogen de twee promovendi (!!) samen uitvechten wie de titel mee naar huis mag nemen. The Strategists hebben alleen aan een winstpartij genoeg en daarna is er sowieso nog een playoff wedstrijd die ook nog gewonnen moet worden. SIM heeft aan een gelijkspel ook genoeg maar heeft bij winst een pakweg 50% kans dat er een directe promotie volgt.

We hopen op een goede vorm update en daarna geluk tijdens de wedstrijd zelve. Het is mogelijk dat er nog een last-minute versterking aangetrokken gaat worden tijdens het weekeinde om de kansen net even wat groter te maken... we zullen het snel zien!

Wat een drukte voor Strategist tegenwoordig. Is hij niet bezig met het U20 team van Ierland, dan is het wel met zijn nieuwe grote vlaggenfederatie waarmee hij de grootste federatie ooit wil creeren... En dan is er ook nog de competitie.

En wat een competitie is dat zeg. Met nog 2 wedstrijden te gaan is de strijd tegen degradatie onderin losgebarsten. Gelukkig doen The Strats daar niet in mee, nee, er wordt hier nog volop meegestreden om het kampioenschap en de 5e promotie op rij.

Echter, niets is makkelijk. Aankomende zondag zal het al zwaar worden tegen Botbreuk, de nummer 4 die niets meer te verliezen heeft. Tegelijkertijd speelt de nummer 1 tegen de nummer 3 en worden de kansen op het kampioenschap misschien wel omgedraaid.

In week 14 is er in ieder geval een beslissende pot. SIM United wordt dan bezocht voor een wedstrijd voor de titel. SIM lijkt favoriet voor die wedstrijd en het is dus aan The Strats om een konijn uit de hoge hoed te toveren...

15/06/2012 was a very special day.

Why?


- Jay Lillee made his first Canadian NT goal (in possibly his last game for the Canadian NT while being a team member for The Strategists, as he will be sold next week)

- Lester O'Hanlon made his debut for the Irish NT.

- It was manager Strategist's last game as U20 Canada coach today. He hopes to be elected to become U20 Ireland's coach in the upcoming days.


So, all in all, a very special day. More of these to come, I'd say !

Well, that's what happens, unfortunately...

If you are this superstar that basically any team would like to have, then a team that plays in a V has to give you the opportunity to play in a higher league at some point. (Not to forget that the team can use the cash, too!)

So, after a second group of a couple of seasons at The Strategists, Jay Lillee (246036928) will soon leave the team to join a team from his home country, Canada.

There he will likely also immediately join the National team, which will be preparing for another qualification round, this time with an even better group of players then before. Jay is expected to serve for about five seasons in the national team.
