Saintz officially announce the retirement of saintz legendary goal getter. The ceremony took place at the Ebonyi grand arena. That attracted many dignitaries. Most of the players and coach and manager had this to say:
Silvino Marquez: Eric didnt have any specialty. No technique. No High TSI. He was that opportunistic, playing at the shoulders of defenders type of goal getter. Eric just got the goals. He was fantastic.

Diego van gouh: I played with Eric for a season or two. Before a big game he'll tell me. Diego, watch my run. And i'd keep looking out for him. Each time he went one on one with the keeper the odds were 9:1 in favour of couval. I am indeed.... Indeed proud to have played with him as a team mate and as a coach. Eric is awesome.
Eric marked his retirement with a goal against Red scorpons infront of the saintz fans. As usual eric delivered. He would indeed live forever in the hearts of the saintz supporters.
