Another season in IV.64?
27-05-2012
After a turbulent day at the top of the table, The Last Eleven have found themselves in top spot and facing a playoff for promotion. Fans have been celebrating the title in the streets, chanting Spils name.
After a few swift pints I caught up with the happy manager. "Ahh Jeff!" he said, pulling me into a bear hug. "What a day huh!? Well of course you'll be after some words for the press. Well we got bloody lucky didn't we!" he says, a big grin on his face as he downs what looks like a lovely double whiskey. "Well of course I knew there was a chance," he continues, "Kevster are tough opposition, we dropped points in both games against them this season and today they did us a favour by doing the same to Woolwich." As I started to ask him about next week's qualifier he stopped me with a shove in the shoulder, "tonight we're celebrating the title. The boys fought hard for it and deserve it. We do too, drink up!" he says, handing me a double.
