Due to an all-day shower, 20954 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at Municipal. Diamantul used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. M. Gedó had a hard time on the waterlogged pitch - his trademark technique was nowhere in sight today. Making his way up the middle 28 minutes into the match, H. Georgescu almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert K. Stohl blocked it to keep the score level. The corner kick from M. Špiler was powerfully met by the head of H. Georgescu to make the score 1 - 0. 34 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Ş. Mărcuş broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Diamantul. It was obvious that team Diamantul had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. After 39 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by M. Gedó might have resulted in another goal for Diamantul. However, K. Stohl made a spectacular save. Diamantul solidified their lead at the 40 minute mark, as E. Heeke dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 0. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0. Diamantul enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 75 percent of possession.

The Diamantul players could smell victory in the air. M. Doroftei wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for V. Blănaru after 46 minutes. Diamantul's R. Busuioc increased the lead to 4 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 60 minutes. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Diamantul coach let H. Poulsen replace Ş. Mărcuş after 63 minutes. After 65 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and N. Baudinet gave the Diamantul supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 5 - 0. The players of Diamantul now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. N. Baudinet left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 70 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. E. Enache was the replacement. There was concern in the stands when, at the 77 minute mark, Diamantul's V. Blănaru hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. After 82 minutes, Diamantul were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. M. Gedó did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. Cheers filled the stadium as E. Heeke broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 6 - 0 to Diamantul. After 85 minutes, R. Busuioc put Diamantul ahead 7 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. Diamantul claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 80 percent.

H. Poulsen performed admirably for Diamantul. R. Busuioc on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating DragonGK player was without a doubt N. Horge. However, K. Stohl made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 7 - 0.
