Dead decided to play creatively. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 13 minutes allowed J. Massa to score for S.A.K.. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1. After a scuffle in the guests' penalty area 31 minutes into the game, the home team was awarded a penalty. L. Ferrera scored to make it 1 - 1. Dead had a chance to take the lead after H. Vilallonga's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 32 minutes. Making his way up the middle 38 minutes into the match, D. Mínguez almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert G. Burton blocked it to keep the score level. L. Ferrera of Dead was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Dead made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left G. Mayorga completely alone with keeper G. Burton, who made a spectacular block. S.A.K.'s G. Burton left the field after 43 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was T. Vonsild. 1 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the forty-five minutes.

B. Lacalle Iñiguez would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. E. Mołodecki entered the game for S.A.K. as the match clock showed 46 minutes. After 77 minutes, S.A.K. put themselves up 1 - 2, as J. Massa finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. Content with how the game was proceeding, the S.A.K. coach let L. Domínguez replace H. von Berge und Herrendorf after 77 minutes. Dead had to make a substitution after 82 minutes. G. Mayorga limped off the field and was replaced by W. Naili. G. Ortega kept the home side in the game with a magnificent save when J. Massa delivered an almost perfect free kick to the far post. With 84 minutes having been played, Dead scored to make it 2 - 2. A dribble down the left wing, followed by a shot which took a wicked bounce off a defender resulted in the keeper having no chance. Everyone thought it'd been an own goal, but H. Vilallonga was marked down as the scorer. H. Retschnik had a good try after 86 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide. S.A.K. enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

With the scores being level after 90 minutes, the match went into extra time. The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when L. Domínguez was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 92 minutes into the match. He was seen beating the pitch in frustration at missing such a good chance to give his team the lead! The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave M. Štross from S.A.K. a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 96 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! With 99 minutes played, S.A.K.'s well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to K. Gorbói he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 2 - 3. This put an end to extra time, making S.A.K. the winners. Most important Dead player was A. Avgeris. G. Ortega was a disappointment, however. S.A.K.'s best player was T. Zigerlig. K. Gorbói on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 3.
