Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Spartak Arena saw a crowd turnout of 17167. François Jamin was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Per Karlsson and Mario Moreno. A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from M. Corti after 21 minutes, and prevented Temptation from going up another goal. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Temptation, with 61 percent of the ball.

After 48 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed R. Bernier to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 3. The home crowd cheered when, after 53 minutes, M. Corti's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. Some fine movement on the left led to a Temptation goal after 54 minutes, making it 0 - 4. D. Brummelhuis was noted down as the scorer. After this, you could see that the players of Temptation were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. J. Romedenne was, after 58 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper L. Uva made the save. In a rapid move 63 minutes into the match, F. Blahout of Spartak lost his man and passed the ball to the unmarked E. Buonfantino who easily hit it home to make it 1 - 4. Luckily the ref didn't see him taunting the opposing fans in celebration - naughty boy! The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave I. Florit from Spartak a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 68 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Temptation claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.

Spartak's top performer was clearly I. Florit. L. Uva on the other hand, had a terrible day. Temptation's best player was M. Corti. A. Lehtoranta turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 4.
