Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 26000 at The PassArena today. Hans-Christian Ludwigsburg was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Fabian Groener and Casper Hamburger. People from all over Lazio had joined up for the derby. Many thought P. Nunziante ought to have been awarded a penalty 7 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around A. Debiasi after a determined run through the middle. Making his way up the middle 22 minutes into the match, M. Mariancini almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert A. Debiasi blocked it to keep the score level. A.C. were very close to putting themselves one up after 31 minutes as A. Niv got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0. A.C. enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

R. Espinhel caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 54 minutes. This gave A.C. the 1 - 0 lead. P. Nunziante should probably have put his team up another goal after 63 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by A. Debiasi kept the visitors in the game. In an effort to secure the lead, A.C. changed their tactic after 65 minutes. P. Nunziante left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 65 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. M. Holger was the replacement. The A.C. players could smell victory in the air. A. Vorobey wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for M. Pilla after 65 minutes. Content with how the game was proceeding, the A.C. coach let J. Asser replace M. Mariancini after 65 minutes. When É. Guette left the game because of a back injury after 77 minutes, A.C. had to continue a man short due to there being no available replacements. A.C.'s A. Civo de Sopranis saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 78 minutes. The referee was not popular with the home supporters after he awarded Garbatella a controversial penalty after 81 minutes. T. Ward made no mistake, levelling the score at 1 - 1. A.C. claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.

A.C.'s top performer was clearly A. Civo de Sopranis. M. Pilla was a disappointment, however. Most important Garbatella player was A. Frizzera. However, A. Debiasi made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 1.
