(366154497)

26-05-2012 12.30
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 24002 that came out to
Stadio delle Grave.
Stefano Del Curto was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Rene Larsen and
Trygve Stokstad.
Santarrosalia started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
Starters: Alesi - Petaros, Carltorp, Porfido - Fechete, Woelfl, Gheza, Reif, Cervellone - Bellezza, Cerdeño.
Torrese had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
The following players had been chosen: Vicente - Hutt, Gürkut, Kamenarov - Rolfsen, Stigkvist, Kahlbutz, Giæver, Kupčulík - Cajet, Landry.
Santarrosalia took the lead after 19 minutes as a result of
T. Cerdeño's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 1 - 0.
Torrese's
G. Kamenarov was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 33 minutes.
There was concern in the stands when, at the 35 minute mark, Torrese's
R. Giæver hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch.
37 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
A. Woelfl broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Santarrosalia.
Cheers filled the stadium as
A. Gheza broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to Santarrosalia.
Santarrosalia's
M. Fechete increased the lead to 4 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 41 minutes.
4 - 0 was the score after the first half.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Santarrosalia, with 51 percent of the ball.
The heat made it a terrible day for
O. Reif, who seemed unable to keep up with the other players.
61 minutes into the game, Torrese's
A. Gürkut surprised the visitors with a raking cross-field pass to
O. Cajet who easily found the back of the net, making the score 4 - 1.
Santarrosalia's
C. Alesi left the field after 68 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
A. Fracchia.
R. Giæver didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
M. Fechete squirmed through their central defence after 74 minutes, increasing the lead to 5 - 1.
By now, the players in Santarrosalia felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
Torrese fought on and, after 77 minutes,
O. Cajet was able to reduce the deficit to 5 - 2 after some excellent moves on the right side were finished off with an incredibly clever chip.
Possession in this half belonged to Santarrosalia, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.
A. Bellezza performed admirably for Santarrosalia.
G. Porfido was a disappointment, however.
Torrese's best player was
O. Cajet.
On the other hand,
V. Vicente's play was disheartening.
The match ends 5 - 2.
