It seemed as though Destroyers considered the game won before even taking the field, which resulted in a very uninspired start to the game. Destroyers broke through on the left 18 minutes into the game, with D. Muci firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead. Destroyers put themselves up 2 - 0 when R. Krapf broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. C. Geçer's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert K. Škufca was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for Destroyers. 3 - 0. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Destroyers lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. G. Selčan of Raid was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. After 43 minutes, S. Simonič put Destroyers ahead 4 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. There was concern in the stands when, at the 44 minute mark, Destroyers's R. Krapf hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. Destroyers's C. Geçer increased the lead to 5 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 44 minutes. C. Geçer increased Destroyers's lead to 6 - 0 with a penalty spot cannonball. Halftime score was 6 - 0. Destroyers enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 90 percent of possession.

S. Tominšek increased the lead for Destroyers to 7 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! 67 minutes in, Raid's Š. Lešnjik received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. After 70 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and M. Blumenfeld gave the Destroyers supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 8 - 0. Destroyers solidified their lead at the 71 minute mark, as R. Krapf dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 9 - 0. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Destroyers to 10 - 0 as K. Škufca finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. 76 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as S. Tominšek broke through, making the score 11 - 0 for Destroyers. Destroyers had most of the ball, with 92 percent of possession.

Destroyers's top performer was clearly S. Tominšek. C. Geçer turned in a dismal performance, however. Š. Lešnjik performed admirably for Raid. However, A. Miholič made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 11 - 0.
