Playafels 2 - 0 Baraka
(367375954)

31-03-2012 14.00
The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 29535 had shown up at
La Satalia for the match.
Tibor Hašta was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Ricardo Bruls and
Jaccomo Schüttkoppen.
Playafels had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
The following players had been chosen: Bellina - Pellny, Giménez, Ferreiro - Lorenzen, Rosu, Grandgirard, Kersulić, Ion - Sánchez, Ribes.
Baraka started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players took the field: Rubio Rueda - Medina Davila, Millán, Marrón - Moßhammer, Vasile, Evans, Solís, Sanchírico - Søgaard, Wurth.
8 minutes of the match played, and a comedy of errors by the home side gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but
B. Wurth, after finding himself dashing down on goal from the left with only the keeper to beat, sliced his shot horribly wide.
Making his way up the middle 14 minutes into the match,
M. Sánchez almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert
J. Rubio Rueda blocked it to keep the score level.
With 17 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as
J. Kersulić flipped the ball in after a cross from the right.
J. Rubio Rueda was caught napping as
O. Rosu lifted a ball over him following a free kick, but the ball hit the bar, rebounding into the keeper's arms.
The visitors almost came back with an equaliser 31 minutes into the match after a good combination down the middle, but when
A. Marrón tried to finish the attack, he couldn't deliver the shot hard enough to seriously challenge the keeper.
M. Sánchez of Playafels received a yellow card after 33 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 0.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Playafels, with 55 percent of the ball.
M. Sánchez wanted to play on, but the Playafels coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 46 minutes into the game by
G. Krústev.
J. Bellina's name was chanted throughout the stadium after he made a fantastic save from
R. Søgaard's shot from the left 64 minutes into the match.
Baraka's
R. Søgaard had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 66 minutes having been played.
A. Centellas was the replacement.
Coming through the middle
B. Wurth almost scored the equaliser for Baraka after 72 minutes, but
J. Bellina made an excellent save, tipping the awkwardly curled shot past the post.
J. Grandgirard of Playafels was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
A. Ribes increased the lead for Playafels to 2 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it!
At this point, it was obvious that the players of Playafels lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
Playafels claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.
Playafels's top performer was clearly
O. Rosu.
However,
J. Bellina made a disastrous appearance.
R. Evans performed admirably for Baraka.
J. Rubio Rueda was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 2 - 0.
