(371471495)

22-04-2012 04.15
54838 spectators arrived at
Jingu Vélodrome, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Laurits Moltrup was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Serge Grevet and
Per Nilsson.
Jingu tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination.
The following players took the field: Fidziński - Malfroidt, Kojović, Peroba, Kachalkin - Boeru, 栗田 (Kurita), Hirano, Ramirez, Diniz Borges - Tansho.
Chiyoda had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation.
They fielded: Nogushi - Sherbourne, Bordeleau - Del Brocco, Marelić, Kairimo, Paolinelli, Di Martino - Hinker, 平塚 (Hiratsuka), Marañón.
Chiyoda mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle.
Chiyoda took the lead after 5 minutes making the score 0 - 1.
G. Paolinelli placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left.
With 7 minutes played,
A. Marañón nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar.
After the ball was lifted in from the left,
N. Del Brocco was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 11 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration.
暢. 栗田 (Kurita) made a superb strike after 20 minutes with a shot straight in front of the goal after a long ball through the middle, but one of the visitors' defenders got a foot in at the last second and warded it off for a corner.
Jingu's
K. Hirano put his head to a high ball coming in from the right after 23 minutes, but the ball went wide.
Halftime score was 0 - 1.
Chiyoda claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.
With the clock showing 51 minutes played,
G. Peroba equalised for Jingu after curling a free kick around the defensive wall to make the score 1 - 1.
D. Di Martino of Chiyoda was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
With 62 minutes played,
良. 平塚 (Hiratsuka) of Chiyoda fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
After 72 minutes, Chiyoda's
D. Di Martino made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 1 - 2.
Chiyoda had to make a substitution after 73 minutes.
良. 平塚 (Hiratsuka) limped off the field and was replaced by
威. 小山 (Koyama).
威. 小山 (Koyama) was, after 75 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper
T. Fidziński made the save.
After 80 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
D. Di Martino who increased Chiyoda's lead to 1 - 3.
The Chiyoda coach was visibly pleased with the score so far, but still ordered a few tactical changes 89 minutes into the game.
After a short break after 89 minutes, Chiyoda seemed to change their tactical approach a bit.
Neither team were able to dominate possession this half.
Jingu's best player was
A. Tansho.
G. Peroba was a disappointment, however.
A. Marañón performed admirably for Chiyoda.
T. Nogushi turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 1 - 3.
