Due to an all-day shower, 23530 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at egholm Arena. Schaefer neatly controlled the ball after a short corner, and knocked it on to G. Algreen who had the whole net open before him, but only managed to hit the post. egholm players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to J. Alert, but the egholm player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! egholm solidified their lead at the 30 minute mark, as L. Buron dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0. L. Buron struck a 30 metre free kick home 36 minutes into the match. 3 - 0 for the home team. At this point, it was obvious that the players of egholm lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. L. Lübbers could have put egholm up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 39 minutes. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave V. Gaillet from Danminar a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 40 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! The rain made it hard for players like I. Friess to show their technical control of the ball on this soggy day. egholm's J. Espinoza was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 42 minutes. 3 - 0 was the halftime score. egholm enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

The coach of egholm was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 61 minutes, S. Bajo came on for S. Chora. The egholm players could smell victory in the air. L. Lübbers wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for B. Stotko after 65 minutes. J. Rachlevičius was the new captain of egholm - handed the armband by the departing player. Content with how the game was proceeding, the egholm coach let O. Thuesen replace J. Rachlevičius after 77 minutes. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, L. Buron took over the role of being the egholm captain. With 83 minutes played, egholm put themselves up 4 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to N. Magraner, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Danminar's K. Haug was shown a yellow card after 85 minutes for slicing down an opponent. There was no way egholm's D. Gamboa could continue to play after this, and no replacements were available! A well-executed free kick by L. Buron after 87 minutes made it 5 - 0 for egholm. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for L. Buron. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by egholm, with 55 percent of the ball.

The most dominating egholm player was without a doubt J. Alert. O. Thuesen turned in a dismal performance, however. Danminar's best player was B. Lagrone. J. Cifuentes was a disappointment, however. The match ends 5 - 0.
