Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 45206 at Royal Arena today. Luis Gürtler was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ryszard Kuryłowicz and Colin van Rijs. With 23 minutes played, R. Mendicute of Amateurs fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. It wasn't a pretty goal, but the free kick by G. Cansun after 24 minutes somehow found its way past the keeper. Amateurs takes the lead, 1 - 0! An equalising goal was close at hand, but H. Mogensen clipped a free kick just wide of the goal. Halftime score was 1 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Amateurs, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

I. Barentz could have put Amateurs up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 72 minutes. A penalty 79 minutes into the game gave the home side a chance at adding to the score, but an overconfident G. Cansun shot the ball wide trying to put it away in the top corner. The visitors didn't give in and, after 83 minutes, M. Dahlberg got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 1 - 1. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to K. Baunsbøl, but the Amateurs player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 2 - 1! Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Dollerup, with 52 percent of the ball.

Á. Kaszás performed admirably for Amateurs. I. Barentz turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Dollerup player was P. Domdal. On the other hand, B. Schumacker's play was disheartening. The match ends 2 - 1.
