Günan suddenly found himself free in the middle of the box with only the keeper to beat, but he misjudged the finish, and only managed to hit the bar. An equalising goal seemed certain after 39 minutes when A. Budacă attacked down the left wing, but W. Gobert just managed to make a save to keep the ball out of the net. Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile M. Gedó. It was 1 - 0 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Raahtivani, who controlled the ball 57 percent of the time.

Content with how the game was proceeding, the Diamantul coach let V. Brehar replace R. Busuioc after 53 minutes. S. Mihail left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 58 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. G. Gheorghiţă was the replacement. The coach of Diamantul was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 58 minutes, V. Savu came on for Ş. Mărcuş. G. Matchenkov wasn't much help defensively. Gheorghiţă could have brought this one home for Diamantul as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. Raahtivani were close to putting the equaliser away after 84 minutes as the opposing defence lost control of the ball to G. Matchenkov in a scuffle towards the left of the goal, but in the end the ball was cleared over the dead ball line. Raahtivani claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 64 percent.
