(378039172)

04-04-2012 16.30
It had rained all day, but 1449 hardy fans still made it out to
crosser fc Arena.
Max Caisahuana was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Dennis Clephas and
Carlo Udassi.
CFC had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
The following players took the field: Tuboly - Szója, Benítez, Feuereis - Hanon, Steenberger, Segers, Engell, Olivares - Audergon, Svensson.
triki started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
Starters: Phelippeau - Svensson, Møller, Hassel, Jepsen - Wegner, Thorninger, Mørch, Boderskov - Guarabira, Jensen.
Many thought
C. Benítez ought to have been awarded a penalty 19 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around
B. Phelippeau after a determined run through the middle.
The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 30 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from
J. Olivares, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing.
R. Feuereis had a fantastic opportunity to put CFC up another goal 31 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar.
J. Hassel was uncomfortable with the soggy pitch as he couldn't move the ball around with his usual grace.
With 34 minutes played, CFC put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
V. Engell, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
CFC increased the lead as
T. Svensson struck to make the score 3 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper.
It was 3 - 0 at the break.
CFC had most of the ball, with 77 percent of possession.
Things were deteriorating for the away team as CFC scored another to make it 4 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
J. Olivares after 51 minutes.
By now, the players in CFC felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
With 67 minutes played, CFC's
T. Svensson almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net.
A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of CFC to 5 - 0 as
V. Engell finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle.
80 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
J. Hanon broke through, making the score 6 - 0 for CFC.
Possession in this half belonged to CFC, who controlled the ball 81 percent of the time.
CFC's top performer was clearly
J. Steenberger.
S. Szója turned in a dismal performance, however.
P. Jensen performed admirably for triki.
S. Boderskov was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 6 - 0.
