Clouds darkened the skies at
Wigwam Arena as 4130 spectators turned up for the match.
Rob Garritzen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by

Diddeleng had a chance to take the lead after
W. Frinsel's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 29 minutes.

After this, you could see that the players of Diddeleng were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
T. Khare from ThunderCat a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 52 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
A. Chênet got himself booked. The manager of Diddeleng was not happy.
With 76 minutes played,
J. Brüggemann had a fantastic opportunity to reply but his shot flew harmlessly into the side-netting of the goal.
With 77 minutes played,
V. Neau of Diddeleng fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.

D. Howards was shown a yellow card after 82 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
