W. Zieniuk of Pogon was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Pogon put themselves up 3 - 0 when E. Duarte broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. Confident in their lead, Pogon's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Pogon's X. Giménez Guerra struck his penalty well enough to beat the goalkeeper and extend the home team's lead to 4 - 0 after 38 minutes. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. G. de Weerd squirmed through their central defence after 40 minutes, increasing the lead to 5 - 0. The teams went for the halftime break at 5 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Pogon, who controlled the ball 76 percent of the time.

During the break, Grygo's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to passable organisation. E.
