The Grenzpatrouille free kick 2 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of A. Aalto, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 1 - 0! Given a free kick in a difficult position after 24 minutes, Grenzpatrouille tried a variation that they had practised in training. The kick was sent into the area just in front of the keeper. However, the defence were on their toes and allowed no space for a finish. A. Aalto could have increased the lead after 35 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. Grenzpatrouille solidified their lead at the 41 minute mark, as J. Løset dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0. S. Durguner had a fantastic opportunity to put Grenzpatrouille up another goal 42 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. BlueNose's K. Harkess was shown a yellow card after 43 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Halftime score was 2 - 0. Grenzpatrouille enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 62 percent of possession.

64 minutes into the game, BlueNose had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to solid. A lack of experience caused D. Göke to make a difficult dribble close to dangerous opponent D. Gilley of BlueNose, who took the opportunity to score making it 2 - 1. With 68 minutes played, the BlueNose coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. J. Hart came on, D. Gilley had to leave the fray. Grenzpatrouille put in a good effort on the right, but F. Arteta saw his volley fly wide of the mark 69 minutes into the game. After 70 minutes, BlueNose switched R. Villamar with A. Fuentes Albar, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. Grenzpatrouille had to make a substitution after 72 minutes. J. Løset limped off the field and was replaced by V. Pipek. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, BlueNose's C. Mazola was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 74 minutes. M. Nicholson was given a chance to change things around. The intense heat forced G. Goudie into making some errors because he couldn't seem to keep up with the others. With 82 minutes played, Grenzpatrouille's S. Vermeire almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Grenzpatrouille scored another to make it 3 - 1 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for A. Yiannimpas after 84 minutes. With 89 minutes played, M. Tesko had a fantastic opportunity to reply but his shot flew harmlessly into the side-netting of the goal. After 89 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as BlueNose found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to inadequate. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grenzpatrouille, with 51 percent of the ball.

M. Läfby performed admirably for Grenzpatrouille. R. Oro on the other hand, had a terrible day. BlueNose's top performer was clearly J. Hart. On the other hand, R. Albornoz's play was disheartening. The match ends 3 - 1.
