A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 2210 to "MEZARI". Julian Guelli was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Pablo Ladusa and Enrique Elizalde. SMP had chosen a strategic 4-3-3 formation. They fielded: Unkić - Krličević, Ljubisavljević, Mujačić, Dedukić - Hintermeier, Burejić, Radunović - Ašić, Simonović, Keserović.

A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for FB-SCB. Starters: Aisslinger - Keltner, Naselli, Keck - Rivas Palas, Olshanskiy, Magie, Schertenleib - Lakatos, Chiusoli, Gury.

SMP showed off their creative tactics. FB-SCB clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 10 minutes into the match, and V. Magie wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 0 - 1 for the visitors. V. Magie enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again. FB-SCB's H. Keck made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 24 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. An amazing free kick flew past the home keeper 28 minutes into the match, putting FB-SCB ahead 0 - 2. P. Keltner was the scorer. The home crowd were delighted when C. Hintermeier scored with a header after an attack from the right, making the score 1 - 2. But did he use his hand? That'll be one for the pundits to talk about after the game, that's for sure! The head of S. Dedukić connected with a corner kick after 32 minutes, and the ball ended up with Z. Simonović of SMP who blasted the ball into the net, making the score 2 - 2. FB-SCB took the lead after 38 minutes making the score 2 - 3. N. Schertenleib placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. The corner kick from P. Keltner was powerfully met by the head of L. Naselli to make the score 2 - 4. 2 - 4 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to FB-SCB, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.

A. Rivas Palas received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 67 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 2 - 5. The FB-SCB fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. The players of FB-SCB now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. FB-SCB had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

The most dominating SMP player was without a doubt C. Hintermeier. M. Mujačić on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important FB-SCB player was S. Chiusoli. R. Aisslinger was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 5.
