Some brilliant football from the visitors' right wing resulted in a levelling of the score as snuppas's B. Stößl put the ball in the onion bag after 38 minutes to make it 2 - 2. 39 minutes into the game, snuppas had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to inadequate. L. Elvestad got left behind when Atletico's M. Segatto made a sudden run forward after 40 minutes, finishing off with a neat strike. 3 - 2! After 41 minutes, the visitors tied it up at 3 - 3 when a fantastic pass from the left was finished off by K. Nilsen. The visiting B. Stößl was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 42 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 3 - 4 was the score. 43 minutes in, and Atletico were able to score the equalising goal to make it 4 - 4 when M. Segatto picked up a pass coming in from the right and chipped it past the away team's keeper. By then M. Segatto had scored three goals - a hat trick! It was 4 - 4 at the break. Atletico enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.

The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that snuppas had solid organisation. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave I. Mihăilă from Atletico a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 71 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! The player down was E. Bolstad. The snuppas bench looked worried for a while, but in the end he managed to get up. Atletico took the lead 76 minutes into the game by 5 - 4, as A. Sebartoli elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. 79 minutes in, snuppas appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only weak. Atletico put themselves up 6 - 4 when M. Eguiluz broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. Atletico managed to extend their lead to 7 - 4 when S. Linsten cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. The coach of Atletico was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 89 minutes, F. Guérineau came on for J. Otth. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Atletico, with 59 percent of the ball.
