Clouds darkened the skies at Coliseo Azul as 690 spectators turned up for the match. Fredrik Falbom was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Michael Terrett and Josef Hartl. ToMoRRoW decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. Starters: Barrière - Eguia, Guitton, Scotfield, Fani - Somoza, Macao, Przybyłowski, García-Mesa - Broggi, Belnava.

Leondis tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Lineup: Åberg - Bonde, Stepnowski, Chitgar - Dinu, Dilek, Kotkaniemi, Jørgensen, Theocharis - Hovi, van Zundert.

It was an obvious ambition of ToMoRRoW to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. Always quick and a menace to his opponents, L. Hovi was very close to getting through after 18 minutes, but he could only put the ball into the keeper's arms. Leondis's S. Bonde gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead after 19 minutes with a superb strike from the right. With the clock showing 20 minutes played, S. Broggi equalised for ToMoRRoW after curling a free kick around the defensive wall to make the score 1 - 1. J. Kotkaniemi had a good try after 24 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide. After 25 minutes, Leondis put themselves up 1 - 2, as L. Hovi finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. L. Hovi received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 27 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 3. The Leondis fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. 29 minutes into the game, Leondis worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. The crowd groaned when W. Przybyłowski, having maneuvered his way down the right, fired the ball just wide and missed a great opportunity to reduce the deficit for ToMoRRoW. Halftime score was 1 - 3. Leondis claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 69 percent.

The coach of Leondis was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 50 minutes, B. de Haard came on for A. Åberg. L. Hovi's lightning pace was too much for R. Scotfield who could only look on as the Leondis player blasted one home. 1 - 4. By then L. Hovi had scored three goals - a hat trick! B. Stepnowski left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 60 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. R. Passenberg was the replacement. The Leondis players could smell victory in the air. J. Kotkaniemi wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for P. Mariana after 60 minutes. M. Theocharis was the new captain of Leondis - handed the armband by the departing player. L. Hovi was, after 62 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper D. Barrière made the save. V. Chitgar increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 1 - 5. By now, the players in Leondis felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. After 80 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave R. Passenberg a chance to increase the lead for Leondis, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 6. The referee showed Leondis's S. Bonde the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The home keeper was stunned 83 minutes into the match when he misjudged the free kick by N. Jørgensen and dived in the wrong direction. The visitors increased the lead to 1 - 7. With 84 minutes played, Leondis put themselves up 1 - 8 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was L. Hovi. Leondis enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 71 percent of possession.

ToMoRRoW's best player was R. Scotfield. D. Barrière turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Leondis player was J. van Zundert. On the other hand, R. Passenberg's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 8.
