The 6910 spectators at
Persigar Arena were in for an afternoon of sunshine.
Patrizio Barbieri was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Tim Buitenwerf and
Matthé Poortvliet.
All of
Jawa Barat was shut down for the day, as fans of both clubs came to the derby.
Persigar started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
Lineup: Colia - Sasomar, Indarto, Pattinasarani, Karma - Fay, Rusdianto, Roekanda, Rizki - Priyo, Yacobi.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for BarcaJava.
The following players took the field: Rangkuti - Galeev, Pilla, Kościów - Ignácz, Mesiti, Vădrariu, Kainer, Petersen - Plasman, Hesseler.
After 4 minutes, BarcaJava sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached
J. Hesseler, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 0 - 1.
After 9 minutes of game time,
S. Petersen had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but
M. Colia was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner.
J. Hesseler could have put his team up another goal 21 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post.
0 - 1 was the score after the first half.
BarcaJava enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 68 percent of possession.
Encouraged by their lead, after 46 minutes the BarcaJava coach asked
N. Kainer to change positions with
I. Vădrariu.
Still ahead in the game after 46 minutes, BarcaJava made some tactical adjustments.
A. Mesiti and
N. Kainer swapped positions.
With 51 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience,
M. Roekanda needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed.
The visitors nearly scored again after 59 minutes, but a superb save by
M. Colia kept
A. Kościów's free kick out of the net.
B. Indarto's technique was perfect on this sunny day and led to some breathtaking tricks that bamboozled the defence.
J. Hesseler increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 2.
The visitors added to their lead 77 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by BarcaJava's
A. Kościów slid just past the home keeper. 0 - 3.
By now, the players in BarcaJava felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
Possession in this half belonged to BarcaJava, who controlled the ball 74 percent of the time.
The most dominating Persigar player was without a doubt
B. Indarto.
M. Colia was a disappointment, however.
BarcaJava's top performer was clearly
I. Vădrariu.
E. Rangkuti turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 0 - 3.
