2402 spectators had come to Sevax United Arena this cloudy day. Franco Simonetti was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mark Scheibel and Szymon Myszewski. United started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Doni - Rozak, Moore, Ramang, Khusaeri - Siahaan, Majid, Samad, Noviandri - Masdar, Majid.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for TomZ. Starters: Brahmana - Sidabutar, Yakobus, Antares - Valenti, Martadinata, Rougeot, Waworuntu, Siburian - Sumitro, Baramuli.

TomZ used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. J. Sumitro made a nice dash down the wing after 16 minutes, but was unable to get the cross into the box. A goal kick was awarded. After 18 minutes, TomZ's C. Waworuntu made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. 25 minutes into the game, TomZ seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to solid. With a shot curled in from just outside the middle of the penalty area after 35 minutes played, J. Moore of United made the score 1 - 1. After 40 minutes United's R. Khusaeri contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. United took the lead 41 minutes in, as J. Moore broke through on the left and put the 2 - 1 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. J. Baramuli looked to be heading one way when he unexpectedly passed the ball to P. Siburian. The move caught everyone off-guard, including his teammate, who panicked and kicked the ball out of play by accident. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 1. This part of the game was a standoff between the teams in terms of possession.

The TomZ players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a solid organisation when the game started again. 61 minutes in, TomZ appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only inadequate. Coming through the middle A. Antares almost scored the equaliser for TomZ after 64 minutes, but W. Doni made an excellent save, tipping the awkwardly curled shot past the post. United had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.

R. Khusaeri performed admirably for United. A. Ramang was a disappointment, however. Most important TomZ player was L. Martadinata. On the other hand, C. Waworuntu's play was disheartening. The match ends 2 - 1.
