previous 2/10 next 4/10  Bedihošť 4 - 2 Příbram (381375713)

Dark skies made the crowd of 46990 at Audi A5 Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off. Pauli Huttu was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Michael Ebbesen and Carl Christian Ingemann. Everyone was excited about the upcoming Středočeský kraj derby and the crowd was divided evenly. Bedihošť tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination. Lineup: Blažek - Slowik, Deville - Klouda, Chromý, Frontín, Otipka, Raška - Hakl, Metelka, Kaloč.

Příbram had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Pozzi - Šerý, Feri, Pek - Hanzelka, Lindby, Regner, Tyc, Banićević - Pescatori, Alegre.

After 34 minutes, V. Kaloč sent the corner kick right to V. Klouda who headed it sharply past the keeper. 1 - 0! The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave G. Metelka from Bedihošť a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 36 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! A great save by keeper E. Pozzi after 37 minutes kept the visitors in the game after M. Chromý struck from the left with a real cannonball. The visitors' J. Regner was alert after a cross coming in from the left, levelling the score at 1 - 1 after 39 minutes. Bedihošť's V. Kaloč left the field after 40 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was O. Kuzník. 43 minutes into the match and the home team took a 2 - 1 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Bedihošť was G. Metelka. L. Hakl increased the lead for Bedihošť to 3 - 1, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! At this point, it was obvious that the players of Bedihošť lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Příbram were desperate to get a goal back and pushed forward through the middle 44 minutes into the game. After a scramble in the box, the ball dropped to P. Banićević, who smashed it home to make the score 3 - 2. Bedihošť's L. Otipka was shown a yellow card after 44 minutes for slicing down an opponent. The home side's O. Kuzník curled a free kick home after 44 minutes, putting Bedihošť ahead 4 - 2. 4 - 2 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Bedihošť, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.

With 72 minutes played, V. Lindby had a fantastic opportunity to reply but his shot flew harmlessly into the side-netting of the goal. Bedihošť claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.

G. Metelka performed admirably for Bedihošť. O. Kuzník was a disappointment, however. Příbram's best player was B. Pescatori. However, E. Pozzi made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 4 - 2.
