The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 7000 had shown up at Cesis Stadium for the match. Tomás Becerra was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Timme Goor and Esben Fast Nielsen. Butkēvičs of tīmekļi was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. W. Nużyński had a fantastic opportunity to put Cesis up another goal 24 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. Cesis increased the lead as L. Rumin struck to make the score 4 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Cesis lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. A. Breģis's lightning pace was too much for S. Upmalnieks who could only look on as the Cesis player blasted one home. 5 - 0. 32 minutes into the game, A. Butkēvičs had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came J. Vaivars. It was 5 - 0 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Cesis, with 63 percent of the ball.

Cesis's L. Rumin increased the lead to 6 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 54 minutes. Cesis's I. Fabriciuss refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 57 minutes. After 63 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by I. Fabriciuss might have resulted in another goal for Cesis. However, J. Tenis made a spectacular save. tīmekļi's G. Stus got himself booked for a foul. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Cesis's A. Breģis increasing the lead to 7 - 0. There was concern in the stands when, at the 83 minute mark, Cesis's K. Pimenov hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. Cesis had most of the ball, with 64 percent of possession.

Cesis's top performer was clearly V. Tikhonov. G. Namdaris was a disappointment, however. Most important tīmekļi player was G. Stus. J. Tenis turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 7 - 0.
