Clear skies welcomed the 47238 spectators who had made their way to Estadio de la Esperanza. Kalle Kipper was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Przemek Atłas and Fernand Finjaer. A 5-2-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Duergar. Starters: Buxán - Ramírez Guzmán, Serra, Esteíbar, Leija, Cabellos - Fernández, Codinats - Lambrechts, Humeres, Chasseriaud.

Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Duergar. R. Humeres showed why he is feared on the counterattack, breaking through in the middle and scoring for Duergar after 31 minutes to make the score 0 - 1. STEMCELLS's E. Risca put his head to a well placed ball, lifted in from the left, and scored to make the score 1 - 1 with 37 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock. STEMCELLS took the lead 38 minutes into the game by 2 - 1, as G. Danguso elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. STEMCELLS's H. Peña was shown a yellow card after 40 minutes for slicing down an opponent. The referee showed STEMCELLS's I. García the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. With 42 minutes played, STEMCELLS put themselves up 3 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to V. Fišer, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. It was 3 - 1 at the break. STEMCELLS had most of the ball, with 78 percent of possession.

R. Perales should probably have put his team up another goal after 62 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by M. Buxán kept the visitors in the game. STEMCELLS increased the lead as P. Gil de Gibaja struck to make the score 4 - 1 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. E. Risca squirmed through their central defence after 69 minutes, increasing the lead to 5 - 1. At this point, it was obvious that the players of STEMCELLS lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of STEMCELLS to 6 - 1 as I. García finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by V. Fišer. At last, STEMCELLS's E. Risca was able to backheel the ball in. 7 - 1. By then E. Risca had scored three goals - a hat trick! Duergar's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 78 minutes gone, but Y. Lambrechts's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. STEMCELLS enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 77 percent of possession.

Most important STEMCELLS player was E. Risca. P. Elgucena on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Duergar player was without a doubt Y. Lambrechts. F. Esteíbar turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 7 - 1.
