27853 fans braved the pouring rain at Los Chanes Arena. Mike Thao was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Immo Lode and Joaquín Ramírez. A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Chanes. The following players took the field: Porras - van Assendelft, Rełko - Bolognesi, Di Bidino, Ramos Martín, Massoli, Salazar Cabrera - Brânză, Flambrant, Ličman.

mirasierra decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Lineup: Cosi - Stănescu, Carlowitz, Buhr - Milano, Cogolls, Seppälä, Tarim, Rouvé - Turtinen, Burmester.

mirasierra took the lead after 2 minutes making the score 0 - 1. E. Turtinen placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. 5 minutes in, mirasierra's M. Milano received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The visitors' C. Stănescu took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 20 minutes into the match. 0 - 2 for mirasierra. A marvellous Chanes effort on the right-hand side resulted in a goal after 28 minutes by R. van Assendelft, making the score 1 - 2. The crowd was on its feet 33 minutes into the match, as Chanes's S. Flambrant found himself unmarked in front of the goal after a dash up the left side. He calmly put away the 2 - 2 equaliser. Halftime score was 2 - 2. mirasierra had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

The game was characterised by rough play and many physical challenges on the wet field, but F. Salazar Cabrera showed great heart and had a good game. After a fine move down the middle Z. Rełko nearly gave the home side a goal after 52 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. Chanes took the lead 57 minutes into the game by 3 - 2, as S. Flambrant elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Chanes's C. Brânză increasing the lead to 4 - 2. With 65 minutes played, J. Seppälä of mirasierra fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. R. van Assendelft did not have a good day today, often losing his footing on the muddy pitch. The home team's fans were upset when, after 79 minutes, the visiting M. Milano broke through the central defence and kicked the ball past the keeper. 4 - 3 was the score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by mirasierra, with 51 percent of the ball.

Most important Chanes player was D. Ličman. However, R. van Assendelft made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating mirasierra player was without a doubt A. Cosi. On the other hand, F. Rouvé's play was disheartening. The match ends 4 - 3.
