Clouds darkened the skies at Nou Barris Stadium as 20663 spectators turned up for the match. Timothy Fletcher was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Dénes Faigl and Abraham Chabot. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Barris. Starters: Verboven - Kemetmüller, Krag Strømberg, Ljungstedt - Danielsson, Kerstetter, Amat, Sevilla, Josefsson - Siemens, Hartgring.

A. Danielsson of Barris was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. The guests took the lead 36 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in J. Perales scoring to make it 0 - 1. Rayito had to make a substitution after 38 minutes. I. Mínguez Ochoa limped off the field and was replaced by C. Calvet. Rayito's R. David was shown a yellow card after 39 minutes for slicing down an opponent. The crowd roared in delight as R. Sevilla finished off a spectacular series of passes through the middle to even the score for Barris 40 minutes into the match. 1 - 1. The Rayito free kick 41 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of C. Castro-Pinos, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 1 - 2! After 42 minutes, Barris's F. Kerstetter fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! The Barris equaliser came after 43 minutes when S. Hartgring floated in a free kick making the score 2 - 2. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave C. Castro-Pinos from Rayito a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 44 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Barris, with 51 percent of the ball.

J. Perales would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. O. Curtis entered the game for Rayito as the match clock showed 55 minutes. Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 67 minutes into the match left Rayito's M. Favier completely free to score. 2 - 3 for the visitors. The Rayito players could smell victory in the air. C. Castro-Pinos wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for J. Huerta after 75 minutes. Given a free kick in a difficult position after 75 minutes, Barris tried a variation that they had practised in training. The kick was sent into the area just in front of the keeper. However, the defence were on their toes and allowed no space for a finish. G. Grüneis received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 77 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 2 - 4. The Rayito fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. F. Kerstetter tried to get a goal back for Barris but despite all his hard work down the right, he just couldn't complete the move. With 81 minutes played, Barris's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to J. Josefsson he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 3 - 4. Barris tried to even things up by sending a long ball towards the centrally placed strikers, but the visitors' defence got the best of this rather direct style of play. Rayito's counterattacks were lethal to the opposing defence, allowing R. David to score easily from the right flank for 3 - 5. Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the forty-five minutes.

Barris's top performer was clearly S. Hartgring. H. Ljungstedt on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Rayito player was without a doubt Y. Planche. C. Calvet turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 5.
