(384111554)

11-08-2012 16.00
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 59581 to
Stiklestad Amfi.
Tiziano Rovetta was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Dénes Novák and
Thierry Roman.
Olavs Menn decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
The following players took the field: Stensby - Talberg, Nordlund, Johannessen - Mikkelsen, Gleditsch, Molgren, Hansen, Martinussen - Krosby, Ingvaldsen.
Nannestad had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
Starters: Berte - van Aalst, Kuosmanen, Kausar - Hernández, Zamorski, Johansen, Bekkstrand, Picart - Mineo, Lobenstein.
Nannestad tried to focus their attacks down the middle.
K. Rindal was called on to replace Nannestad's
N. Berte after 15 minutes following a nasty collision.
As
R. Bekkstrand had, completely unprovoked, swept the legs out from under an opponent in front of a linesman, the referee gave the Nannestad player a red card without batting an eyelid.
They were singing the praises of
K. Nordlund 23 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Olavs Menn.
With 30 minutes played,
E. Talberg of Olavs Menn fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
The suddenness of the Nannestad's
J. Kuosmanen's pass to
D. Lobenstein after 31 minutes caught the opposition wrong-footed, and they could only watch as the ball sailed home for 1 - 1.
36 minutes into the match and the home team took a 2 - 1 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Olavs Menn was
D. Hansen.
Nannestad's
M. Mineo was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 37 minutes.
With 40 minutes played, Olavs Menn put themselves up 3 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
Å. Ingvaldsen, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 1.
Olavs Menn claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
A. Krosby squirmed through their central defence after 54 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 1.
Nannestad had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks.
The referee showed Olavs Menn's
Å. Ingvaldsen the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
One of many good crosses from
B. Picart on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by
M. Mineo, who scored for Nannestad. 4 - 2
Things were deteriorating for the away team as Olavs Menn scored another to make it 5 - 2 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
H. Johannessen after 81 minutes.
Confident in their lead, Olavs Menn's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
J. Hernández managed to make an excellent pass from the flank, but
B. Picart was not as skillfull in scoring.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Olavs Menn, with 57 percent of the ball.
Olavs Menn's top performer was clearly
Å. Ingvaldsen.
T. Mikkelsen was a disappointment, however.
Most important Nannestad player was
M. Mineo.
However,
K. Rindal made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 5 - 2.
