Due to an all-day shower, 32063 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at
Conlig Craic Avenue.
Robert Bösch was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Clemente Marentes and
Tino Thiébeaux.
A 5-4-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Marulk.
Starters: de Wever - Nilsen, Godlund, Sundsvoll, Flatland, Blackshaw - Alnes, Ingvaldsen, Avkjærn, Kjempenes - Buitendijk.
Steinsvaag tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.

After 25 minutes of play,
C. Kjempenes gave the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right.
Steinsvaag tied it all up, 26 minutes in, after a spectacular goal by
G. Sund, who miraculously broke through the home side's central defence, making it 1 - 1.
Marulk had a chance to take the lead after
A. Alnes's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 28 minutes.
1 - 1 was the score after the first half.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Marulk, with 52 percent of the ball.
G. Sund gave the visitors the lead 54 minutes into the match to make it 1 - 2. The goal was scored from the penalty spot after a handball in the penalty area.
55 minutes in, Marulk's
M. Godlund received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
A loud groan was heard from the fans of Steinsvaag, as
D. Cargnelutti left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match.
G. Holand took his place on the field.
P. Nielsen of Steinsvaag seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 1 - 3 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by
G. Sund.
The players of Steinsvaag now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
71 minutes into the game Marulk broke through on the left wing and
T. Nilsen managed to reduce the lead to 2 - 3.
Marulk enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 62 percent of possession.
The most dominating Marulk player was without a doubt
M. Buitendijk.
C. Kjempenes was a disappointment, however.
Steinsvaag's best player was
O. Enersen.
On the other hand,
G. Holand's play was disheartening.
The match ends 2 - 3.
