Eintracht 1 - 3 Scorps
(384487555)

23-06-2012 18.20
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 15437 to
Festung.
Ismael Havenith was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jędrzej Bączyk and
Tzahi Granot.
Eintracht tactics involved an interesting 4-3-3 combination.
Lineup: Blaser - Keferstein, Jörissen, Valbuena, Papalampros - Agorastos, Pfeifer, Schwieder - Nisii, Ottino-Geck, Sedlmayer.
Scorps had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation.
Starters: Säfholt - Poleksić, Claesson, Lagerdahl, Carlsson - Komnenić, Kärrén, Mutavdžić, Isstedt - Hansson, Pettersson.
Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 5 minutes into the match, and
M. Pettersson wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 0 - 1 for the visitors.
Y. Sedlmayer charged down the left and had a wonderful opportunity to score the equaliser for Eintracht, but the shot went well wide of the goal.
The suddenness of the Eintracht's
Y. Sedlmayer's pass to
H. Schwieder after 19 minutes caught the opposition wrong-footed, and they could only watch as the ball sailed home for 1 - 1.
24 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for Eintracht to take the lead after a good cross from the right found
T. Agorastos alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post.
The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Scorps's
B. Poleksić after 25 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 1 - 2 lead.
F. Hansson could have put his team up another goal 26 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post.
A drive down the left side allowed
F. Hansson to get in close and score another goal for Scorps after 37 minutes, taking the score to 1 - 3.
Confident in their lead, Scorps's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 3.
Scorps enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.
T. Jörissen received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 75 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score.
Scorps's
T. Carlsson was shown a yellow card after 76 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
F. Nisii was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Eintracht's
M. Bünsdorf had to come off the bench.
T. Blaser got a fingertip on
B. Poleksić's shot from the left 82 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal.
F. Hansson of Scorps received a yellow card after 83 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Scorps, with 52 percent of the ball.
Eintracht's top performer was clearly
Y. Sedlmayer.
W. Pfeifer on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The most dominating Scorps player was without a doubt
M. Pettersson.
F. Säfholt turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 1 - 3.
