Maske ought to have been awarded a penalty 34 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around R. Bărăscu after a determined run through the middle. After 37 minutes, FGA raised their score by one when P. De Paolis's dangerous low cross was cleverly tucked in at the near post by P. López. 1 - 2. FGA nearly produced a goal as M. Stern set up P. De Paolis for a strike from a seemingly impossible angle. However he put the shot narrowly wide. After 41 minutes, A. Wassergang made a dash down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the goal that made it 2 - 2. 2 - 2 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Ginsheim, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.

Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 52 minutes into the match, and A. Rütti wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 2 - 3 for the visitors. Ginsheim's R. Gullery got himself booked for a foul. The Ginsheim coach was desperate to reverse his team's fortunes in the game, and ordered his team to change strategy. With a shot curled in from just outside the middle of the penalty area after 80 minutes played, A. Wassergang of Ginsheim made the score 3 - 3. At that, A. Wassergang was noted down for a hat trick! They were singing the praises of B. Lüdersdorf 84 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 4 - 3 to Ginsheim. Ginsheim solidified their lead at the 86 minute mark, as A. Wassergang dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 5 - 3. After this, you could see that the players of Ginsheim were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. Ginsheim enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

The most dominating Ginsheim player was without a doubt H. Schmauch. B. Lüdersdorf turned in a dismal performance, however. FGA's top performer was clearly D. Mihályi. However, A. Rütti made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 5 - 3.
