(384882355)

18-08-2012 19.15
Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 59244 at
Cremarena today.
Pascal Eckenberg was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Anders Fredriksson and
Emil Atanasov.
Creamteam had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
The following players took the field: Tavares - Iorizzo, Boroumand, Guidi - Maasie, Voinea, Bontragger, Prat, MacGlade - Pászka, Gutiérrez Caviedes.
A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Centauri.
Lineup: Ozoliņš - Gkougkoudis, Bruschera, Fourtounakis, Rocca - Gisiger, Klopfer, Dal Mutto, Wulff, Schwab - Ladrach.
Creamteam's
D. Maasie had seen it all before, so he waited patiently for the right opportunity. He would get no better chance than the one he took, but his shot was deftly blocked by the keeper.
The corner kick from
P. Rocca was powerfully met by the head of
N. Fourtounakis to make the score 0 - 1.
44 minutes into the game,
M. Gutiérrez Caviedes came close to levelling the score with a dangerous shot from the centre of the area that went just over the bar.
A tussle 44 minutes into the match resulted in a penalty being awarded to the home team and
M. Gutiérrez Caviedes put the ball into the back of the net without any difficulty. That tied the score up at 1 - 1.
Halftime score was 1 - 1.
Creamteam had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.
The celebrations in the stands could only mean one thing -
M. Gutiérrez Caviedes's free kick had found the back of the net and put Creamteam ahead 2 - 1!
With 65 minutes played, the Centauri coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around.
N. Raimann came on,
J. Schwab had to leave the fray.
The bench was restless, and with 69 minutes passed Centauri's coach gave
E. Náray the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
T. Gkougkoudis reluctantly left the field.
Ē. Ozoliņš was caught napping as
M. Gutiérrez Caviedes lifted a ball over him following a free kick, but the ball hit the bar, rebounding into the keeper's arms.
The coach of Creamteam was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 75 minutes,
P. Litschi came on for
D. Voinea.
The visitors kept the pressure on to tie the game when, after 77 minutes,
E. Náray broke through the centre and found himself alone with the keeper.
V. Tavares made a great block, though.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Creamteam, with 57 percent of the ball.
The most dominating Creamteam player was without a doubt
J. Pászka.
F. MacGlade turned in a dismal performance, however.
Centauri's best player was
R. Ladrach.
N. Raimann on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 2 - 1.
