previous 1/4 next 3/4  Celtic 3 - 2 Fourasse (385863689)

33036 spectators arrived at Celtic park breton, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Rickard Thomasson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Giacomo Molinaro and Marlo Jud. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Celtic. The following players took the field: Clésio - Karlsson, Robb, 茨舰 (Cijian) - Angeleri, Lee, Musahanov, Ezakiya, Sotero - Belitardo, Oreiro.

Fourasse decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Graftiaux - Kammier, Pawlos, Truffaut - Svendsen, Cruz Coelho, Lindgaard, Breukers, Dervin - Ponton, Ghoulam.

With 12 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as G. Belitardo flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. Celtic's 袁. 茨舰 (Cijian) refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 13 minutes. D. Ponton of Fourasse was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Fourasse levelled the score after 18 minutes to make it 1 - 1, as J. Breukers struck home after a fine midfield combination through the centre, which left him completely unmarked. After 23 minutes, Fourasse sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached D. Ponton, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 1 - 2. It was 1 - 2 at the break. Celtic claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.

Following a foul after 57 minutes, Celtic got themselves a free kick just outside the penalty area. H. Angeleri levelled the scoreline - 2 - 2. After 63 minutes, Celtic's M. Robb fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! Some great play up the middle by Celtic led to a chance for G. Belitardo to score after 75 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. After 79 minutes of play, G. Belitardo gave the home team a 3 - 2 lead after an attack coming in from the right. Possession in this half belonged to Celtic, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.

G. Belitardo performed admirably for Celtic. M. Robb was a disappointment, however. Most important Fourasse player was J. Breukers. On the other hand, J. Graftiaux's play was disheartening. The match ends 3 - 2.
