(386936656)

22-07-2012 04.15
A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 47387 to
Tsunami Arena.
Joakim Persson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Mel Harte and
Arnulf Munkvold .
Tsunami tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
The following players took the field: Morel - Leskó, Hünersdorff, Marastoni - Börnig, Elaković, Bruscolotti, Brunori, Vuorenmaa - Grzelak, Pirarba.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for NishinomiyaLaurels.
Starters: Torriani - Tello, Kovalev, Ozawa - Rizzuto, Ballu, Sycha, Vučenović, Wlaźlik - de Moraes, 田村 (Tamura).
S. Vuorenmaa of Tsunami seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 1 - 0 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by
K. Börnig.
The NishinomiyaLaurels coach was desperate to reverse his team's fortunes in the game, and ordered his team to change strategy.
After 22 minutes, NishinomiyaLaurels used a short break in the game to take new instructions from their coach.
With 32 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience,
I. Leskó needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed.
Tsunami put themselves up 2 - 0 when
S. Vuorenmaa broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
Confident in their lead, Tsunami's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
2 - 0 was the score after the first half.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by NishinomiyaLaurels, with 60 percent of the ball.
The visitors got a chance to pulling one back after 47 minutes, due to a defensive blunder leaving
A. Sycha completely unmarked. His strike was pathetic though, easy prey for the home side's keeper.
The crowd roared its approval when
D. Morel somehow managed to block a shot which seemed to be a certain goal by NishinomiyaLaurels's
A. Sycha 57 minutes into the game.
Tsunami's
R. Grzelak increased the lead to 3 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 74 minutes.
With 85 minutes played,
R. de Moraes had a fantastic opportunity to reply but his shot flew harmlessly into the side-netting of the goal.
Coming in from the right, Tsunami had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 86 minutes, but
E. Pirarba's attempt to finish was easily stopped.
Possession in this half belonged to NishinomiyaLaurels, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.
The most dominating Tsunami player was without a doubt
R. Grzelak.
On the other hand,
D. Morel's play was disheartening.
R. de Moraes performed admirably for NishinomiyaLaurels.
A. Kovalev was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 3 - 0.
