Dark skies made the crowd of 4912 at KS Strzelec Kornowac Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off. Ciro Marchiol was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Tomasz Fliszkiewicz and Pedro Alventosa. Strzelec started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Kuca could have put Strzelec up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 38 minutes. 1 - 0 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Strzelec, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.

47 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as A. Czuk broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Strzelec. T. Paleczny could have increased the lead after 55 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. With 56 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Trypolis resulted in a counterattack that set W. Dzięciołowicz free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. There was concern in the stands when, at the 78 minute mark, Strzelec's T. Lechowicz hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. Strzelec enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

Strzelec's top performer was clearly R. Rombalski. D. Kuca on the other hand, had a terrible day. W. Kacowski performed admirably for Trypolis. J. Wielopolski turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 0.
