Clouds darkened the skies at
SC Ania Arena SC as 6472 spectators turned up for the match.
Tuomas Mononen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
José Luzón and
Alex José Bazurto.
Everyone was excited about the upcoming
Pomorskie derby and the crowd was divided evenly.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Ania.
The following players had been chosen: Futoma - Oelze, Pęczek, Gładek, Burtan - Grabczak, Hajto, Religa, Woźniewski - Tomaś, Ruszczyk.
KASIK had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation.
Lineup: Straszewski - Żarski, Rypina, Młodzik, Fudała - Klüsen, Hanysz, Malina, Cholewik - Skrzycki, Sierszyński.
After 23 minutes, KASIK's
D. Klüsen swiftly ran past
G. Burtan and nutmegged the keeper! 0 - 1.
After a fatal mistake from the away team's right side defence 30 minutes into the match, an alert
G. Burtan bagged the ball for Ania, levelling the score to 1 - 1.
After 35 minutes Ania's
D. Hajto limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue.
Ania took the lead after 36 minutes as a result of
E. Ruszczyk's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 2 - 1.
Ania's
M. Tomaś increased the lead to 3 - 1, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 37 minutes.
Ater 38 minutes
R. Skrzycki seized on an opportunistic attack from the right, and scored for KASIK making it 3 - 2.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
N. Malina got himself booked. The manager of KASIK was not happy.
3 - 2 was the score after the first half.
Ania enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.
P. Religa of Ania received a yellow card after 60 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
Ania's
A. Grabczak saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 61 minutes.
Ania increased the lead as
D. Hajto struck to make the score 4 - 2 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper.
P. Religa remonstrated furiously with the referee after Ania had another decision go against them. The referee had no alternative but to show him another yellow card and send him from the pitch.
A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by
M. Tomaś. At last, Ania's
M. Gładek was able to backheel the ball in. 5 - 2.
By now, the players in Ania felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
KASIK's right side looked dangerous after 80 minutes, as
J. Fudała broke through.
K. Futoma continued to stifle them, however, as he made the save look easy.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Ania, with 52 percent of the ball.
Ania's best player was
E. Ruszczyk.
However,
M. Gładek made a disastrous appearance.
N. Malina performed admirably for KASIK.
T. Młodzik on the other hand, had a terrible day.
