Ar took a creative approach on the field. J. Tolosa Carrión came close to putting the visiting team one up 2 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but H. Turacı managed to tip the ball to a corner. Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 15 minutes into the match, and S. Bingün wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 0 - 1 for the visitors. The crowd roared in delight as V. Candaner finished off a spectacular series of passes through the middle to even the score for sambacılar61 24 minutes into the match. 1 - 1. Many thought K. Crow ought to have been awarded a penalty 25 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around R. Martinengo after a determined run through the middle. J. Sanglier of Ar was able to make an impressive rush past the sluggish A. Jonasson, which resulted in a goal making the score 1 - 2. sambacılar61's E. Bremner made a successful breakthrough on the left after 32 minutes and should have levelled the score, but instead he clipped it over the bar. H. Kayahan showed the skills that make him a real crowd pleaser as he, after 33 minutes, wove through the guests' entire central defence and put the 2 - 2 equaliser away. 2 - 2 was the score after the first half. Neither team was controlling the possession at this point in the match, with the stats showing a 50:50 split.

sambacılar61's İ. Kevser was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 65 minutes. After 67 minutes, K. Crow sent the corner kick right to H. Becirčić got sent off for a needless foul away from the game's action. Making his way up the middle 73 minutes into the match, Z. Suwaj almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert R. Martinengo blocked it to keep the score level. Possession in this half belonged to Ar, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.
