By now, the players in Fridge felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. flæsker almost scored after a swift counterattack 31 minutes into the game, but F. Kurpiela put the shot from the left flank just outside the goal. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. Fridge enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 81 percent of possession.

With 55 minutes played, the flæsker coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. O. Bruun came on, H. Sidenstad had to leave the fray. flæsker needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 77 minutes A. Murgia made way for F. Dendas. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, O. Bruun took over the role of being the flæsker captain. With 77 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience, H. Gichonga needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. flæsker's counterattacks created a good chance for O. Matejík should probably have put his team up another goal after 82 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by T. Koshinaka kept the visitors in the game. Proving his experience, P. Matejík scored 3 - 0 for Fridge after putting some pressure on the opposing defence at a critical moment. Possession in this half belonged to Fridge, who controlled the ball 80 percent of the time.

Fridge's best player was P. Matejík. However, H. Gichonga made a disastrous appearance. Most important flæsker player was L. Arellano. F. Szczygielski turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 0.
