Unfortunately for Team, B. Davenport was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. F. Elbirlik replaced him. D. Rohweddell caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 17 minutes. This gave Team the 1 - 0 lead. 1 - 0 was the halftime score. Team claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.

With 47 minutes played, Team put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to X. Stoercher, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. After 71 minutes, Clan's C. André fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match.
