Diržkus of Phoenix used a few interesting tricks and dribbles to get into the penalty box. The finish by N. Rekstas wasn't very amusing, however, as the ball flew way over the crossbar. 32 minutes into the game, L. Meissonnier almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. Halftime score was 0 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Phoenix, with 59 percent of the ball.

After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, J. Fristrup got himself booked. The manager of Smugis was not happy. Phoenix's N. Rekstas had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 62 minutes having been played. R. Dilkas was the replacement. Smugis had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 65 minutes in when R. Louter came up alone against S. Mitiurevas who managed a block. Smugis will have to do without Q. Hegler for a time, due to a bad foot injury at the 72 minute mark. He was substituted by S. Sketrys. Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 85 minutes into the match left Smugis's L. Meissonnier completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors. S. Sketrys of Smugis received a yellow card after 86 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Phoenix enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.

Most important Phoenix player was D. Banackas. On the other hand, R. Dilkas's play was disheartening. L. Zamperini performed admirably for Smugis. S. Sketrys was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 1.
