652 fans braved the pouring rain at Castellet Arena. Dennis Solgaard was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Daniel Bouras and Juan Francisco García de Zuñiga. Carapenes tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. They fielded: Seçen - Ernst, Kosec, Rodríguez Pérez, Mora - Martínez, Hjortshøj, Durandio, Urtuuste - Benaiges, López Dieguez.

PepTeam clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. Carapenes used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. This was a good period for the visitors, with several opportunities to take the lead, particularly when J. López Dieguez slipped through the defence on the right to come up alone against A. Horwat, but the home side's keeper showed his lightning reflexes. J. Caldelas was struggling to make the ball dance with his usual trickery and panache, and the opposing players had little trouble shutting him down in these muddy conditions. With 19 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as M. Gardosa flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. PepTeam had a magnificent opportunity after 22 minutes as R. Segers hit the ball hard from the edge of the penalty box. However, the shot went wide. A cross coming in on the right hand side left P. Durandio alone in front of the goal after 25 minutes but his shot was woeful. The goal to make it 2 - 0 was scored by A. Bonafonte after 26 minutes, following an opportunistic counterattack down the middle by PepTeam. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in PepTeam's M. Gardosa increasing the lead to 3 - 0. Halftime score was 3 - 0. PepTeam claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

The PepTeam players could smell victory in the air. E. Señorans wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for A. Alptuğ after 60 minutes. Carapenes needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 62 minutes A. Kosec made way for G. Lau. 64 minutes into the game, Carapenes's attack got through on the right, but M. Urtuuste couldn't handle the ball and his feeble kick wound up in the keeper's arms. Content with how the game was proceeding, the PepTeam coach let T. Compère replace M. Gardosa after 65 minutes. With 70 minutes played, the Carapenes coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. N. Akbaran came on, J. López Dieguez had to leave the fray. Thighs bulging, R. Martínez charged past the weaker players, seemingly oblivious to the rain. A. Bonafonte left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 72 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. I. Olazábal was the replacement. With 77 minutes gone, PepTeam had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However, R. Segers did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out. Carapenes's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 78 minutes gone, but P. Durandio's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for PepTeam, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. After 79 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by P. Fuster might have resulted in another goal for PepTeam. However, Ş. Seçen made a spectacular save. PepTeam's I. Olazábal was shown a yellow card after 81 minutes for slicing down an opponent. After 84 minutes, PepTeam's D. Reutz found the back of the goal with a beautiful free kick. 4 - 0. PepTeam were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. Possession in this half belonged to PepTeam, who controlled the ball 61 percent of the time.

Most important PepTeam player was P. Fuster. J. Caldelas was a disappointment, however. N. Akbaran performed admirably for Carapenes. J. Benaiges turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 0.
