It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 34777 that came out to Koneinehol. Domingos Espinosa was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Gunnar Bjarnason and Petri Helin. After 58 minutes, T. Mann came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 2 - 1, giving Konein the lead. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Konein scored another to make it 3 - 1 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for F. Sellier after 59 minutes. After 60 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by E. Muyldermans might have resulted in another goal for Konein. However, B. Dahlsgaard made a spectacular save. Coming from the right, T. Mann almost managed to score another goal for Konein, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. Strikers's R. Neagă was shown a yellow card after 71 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Konein were forced into a substitution as G. Debaix couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing H. Crahay to come in off the bench. Konein's T. Mann had an excellent opportunity after 75 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! Possession in this half belonged to Konein, who controlled the ball 72 percent of the time.

C. Bogaerts performed admirably for Konein. However, U. Reil made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Strikers player was without a doubt V. Pasevich. D. Montañez was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 1.
