Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 38638 at Villa Coliseum today. Robert Stefan was the appointed referee with assistance provided by José Antonio Tezanos and Nest Michel. DVS U. decided to use a 4-5-1 set up. Lineup: González - Fedeli, Picozzo, Kallivoda-Koltay, Inzunza - Piastrelli, Viales, Kesteloot, Rautakoski, Zumbo - Riestra.

A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for -Alberto-. The following players took the field: Zampedri - Lobban, Tisiot, Jarret - Sequeira, Sandí, Skrzyszewski, Morales - Rivas, Gustavino, Frost.

-Alberto-'s R. Tisiot's long shot really ought to have found the net 2 minutes into the match, but it fell just wide of the target. 9 minutes of the match played, and a comedy of errors by the home side gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but A. Frost, after finding himself dashing down on goal from the left with only the keeper to beat, sliced his shot horribly wide. E. Morales was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, -Alberto-'s P. Sequeira managed to get hold of the rebound and tucked the ball into the empty net. 0 - 1 After 17 minutes of game time, A. Frost had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but R. González was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. In a rapid move 27 minutes into the match, A. Rivas of -Alberto- lost his man and passed the ball to the unmarked E. Gustavino who easily hit it home to make it 0 - 2. Luckily the ref didn't see him taunting the opposing fans in celebration - naughty boy! -Alberto- had a magnificent opportunity after 29 minutes as E. Gustavino hit the ball hard from the edge of the penalty box. However, the shot went wide. 0 - 2 was the halftime score. -Alberto- had most of the ball, with 64 percent of possession.

With 60 minutes played, G. Jarret nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave R. Tisiot from -Alberto- a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 68 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! -Alberto- enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 62 percent of possession.

DVS U.'s best player was P. Riestra. E. Viales turned in a dismal performance, however. -Alberto-'s top performer was clearly A. Rivas. However, G. Jarret made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 2.
