After 33 minutes, the sbarbari coach made a sign to T. Colucci, who soon changed positions with T. Quintarelli. The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 33 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from E. Cazzato, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. sbarbari managed to extend their lead to 2 - 0 when T. Quintarelli cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. 38 minutes into the game, Ostbahn seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a passable level of organisation. L. Roschig nearly reduced the lead 41 minutes into the game, but a splendid one-handed save by N. Falkling prevented the attempt coming in from the right flank from hitting the back of the net. A. Cioni unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to sbarbari, who controlled the ball 58 percent of the time.

The Ostbahn players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a solid organisation when the game started again. After 50 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and M. Peleggi gave the sbarbari supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 0.
