previous 3/10 next 5/10  Taker 4 - 1 Zupfenhausen (393072883)

Clear skies welcomed the 2628 spectators who had made their way to Gol Taker Arena. René Rennert was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Javier Blommaert and Harald Haagensen. Taker started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. They fielded: Rentenberger - Camasobras, Montironi, Ram de Liñan - Argüelles, Pândaru, López Ramos, Caragol, Ebazquin - Batllosera, Biģis.

Zupfenhausen decided to use a 5-4-1 set up. Lineup: Page - Kobanitsch, Wilhelmi, Leicht, Abascal, Leuckert - Rodeffer, Friese, Goeppert, Gappmair - Biebl.

H. Gappmair dispatched a majestic long shot 6 minutes into the match, but missed the goal by a few metres. Zupfenhausen's T. Biebl finished emphatically to make the score 0 -1 after 13 minutes, after the enigmatic A. Goeppert pulled a delightful long pass from his box of tricks to bypass the defence. 31 minutes in, Zupfenhausen appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only inadequate. M. Leicht behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 35 minutes as he gave the ball away to K. Biģis. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. D. Wilhelmi of Zupfenhausen was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. 43 minutes into the game, Zupfenhausen seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a poor level of organisation. Due to some great work on the right wing Taker's M. López Ramos was able to even the score after 43 minutes to make the score 1 - 1. 1 - 1 was the score after the first half. Taker enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 68 percent of possession.

A review of the gameplan helped Zupfenhausen get back to a passable organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. 46 minutes into the game, Zupfenhausen wanted to bring some new energy to their game. T. Biebl gave C. Haselmaier a quick hug as he left the field. Given a free kick close to the byline, Taker tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let F. Ram de Liñan slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 2 - 1, 48 minutes into the game. Zupfenhausen's K. Leuckert was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 49 minutes. After 51 minutes, a deliberate handball from Zupfenhausen's D. Wilhelmi was judged to be his second bookable offence, and he was sent off. After 86 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Zupfenhausen found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to passable. After 87 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by A. Pândaru might have resulted in another goal for Taker. However, G. Page made a spectacular save. M. Leicht of Zupfenhausen received a yellow card after 88 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. 88 minutes into the game, Zupfenhausen seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to inadequate. Taker solidified their lead at the 88 minute mark, as L. Montironi dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 1. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Taker lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. After 89 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and D. Batllosera gave the Taker supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 4 - 1. 89 minutes into the game, Zupfenhausen had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to poor. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Taker, with 70 percent of the ball.

The most dominating Taker player was without a doubt K. Biģis. S. Ebazquin on the other hand, had a terrible day. Zupfenhausen's top performer was clearly E. Abascal. However, M. Friese made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 4 - 1.
